Our lives and world are rich in complex visual imagery. Studying A-Level Art and Design will give you the knowledge and skills to read and interpret visual language from a range of contexts and cultures, both contemporary and historical. Many of the skills you will learn as an artist are transferable; creative decision making, self-discipline, reflection and collaboration are all extremely useful across a range of careers. We offer both Fine Art and Photography as separate courses for this qualification. You can choose to study one or both.

What you need to get on

Grade 5 or above in GCSE Art & Design.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
