The A Level course gives students a knowledge of all aspects of computing, and an ability to apply the techniques and concepts to create applications which solve problems using technology. Students will also gain an insight into the concepts beneath the workings of computers, networks, the internet, data transfer, cyber security. The theory of computer science aims to teach about the internal workings of a computer, right down the basics of how all data is stored using binary, whether that be numbers, text, pictures or even music.
