What the college says

In Statistics further probability distributions will be encountered along with topics such as hypothesis testing. Mechanics includes the study of moments centres of mass mechanical energy and circular motion. In Decision Maths there will also be an opportunity to study the way in which algorithms can be used to solve real-life problems. There is no coursework element to this course. All students will be issued with textbooks. Students are regularly assessed using examination standard questions and past examination papers. Students require a scientific calculator. What you need to get on

You will need at least grade A in GCSE Mathematics and five other full GCSEs at grades A* to C including English Language. Students who do not achieve a C grade in the first year of Mathematics (A Level) would be advised to consider studying an AS in Further Mathematics rather than a full A level.
