What the college says

The WJEC Level 3 Diploma in Food Science and Nutrition has been designed to provide learners with underpinning knowledge, understanding and skills needed to progress to further study and training. You will learn to demonstrate an understanding of the science of food safety and hygiene, nutrition, and nutritional needs of specific groups in a wide range of contexts. Practical sessions will support the gaining of theoretical knowledge and ensure learning is a tactile experience.

What you need to get on

A minimum of 5 subjects at GCSE Grade 4/BTEC Level 2 Pass or higher with at least a Grade 5 in GCSE English and Science or a grade (5,5) in combined science. Additionally, it is preferred if students have a Grade 5 in GCSE Food Preparation and Nutrition or a Merit in the BTEC equivalent course of Hospitality and Catering
