What the college says

The course will provide opportunities for you to expand your knowledge by exploring a range of stimulating ideas and being encouraged to make critical judgements about your own work and that of others. You will develop your ideas through project work that grows from a study of one or more of the disciplines associated with fine art: drawing, painting, mixed media, sculpture, installation, moving image and photography. You will be supported to establish your own personal style, building on your artistic strengths. It is also expected that you will build on a genuine interest in art in the wider world.

Standard entry requirements: 6 GCSE grades 4-9, including 2 @ grade 5 or higher Subject specific entry requirements: GCSE Art (or Art-based subject) - grade 5 English Language - GCSE grade 4

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
