What the college says
Combined English Language and Literature strikes a balance between the Arts and the Social Sciences and is a passport to many other pathways. This demanding subject combines aspects of linguistics and literary criticism that would also be found in single A level Language and A level Literature. Therefore, students can expect to read a mixture of fiction and non-fiction texts and analyse them using the skills and specialisms of both A level subjects.
