Awarding Body : Edexcel This is an integrated study of Language and Literature. Students will study a range of texts throughout the course, including drama, prose, non-fiction and other literary and non- literary texts. In Year 13 students study Varieties in Language and Literature, analysing how writers craft and shape their writing and exploring writers’ attitudes, values and ideas in a play and other texts. They complete a coursework folder including creative fiction and non-fiction writing and a commentary on their own work.

General Requirements : 6 grade 5-9 GCSE passes including 5 or higher English Lang AND Maths Additional or Specific Requirements : Grade 5 or above in GCSE English Language or Literature

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
