Economists recognise we live in a world where resources such as oil, drinking water, plumbers, iPads, etc. are limited whereas our wants are unlimited. Economics is therefore the study of allocating resources. In practice we answer questions such as; • Is university worth getting into debt for? • Why are so many goods made in China? • What are the solutions to poverty? • Will interest rates rise or fall?

What you need to get on

A minimum of 6 GCSEs (or equivalent) to start on 4 A/S Levels. These must be from at least 4 separate courses, with 4 GCSEs at A*-C and English & maths at grade 4 or better.
