Economics seeks to answer the questions: What gets produced? How it gets produced? Who gets what? It is a highly regarded A level requiring strong analytical skills and enthusiasm for a debate. The aim is for the students to develop an interest in, and enthusiasm for, the subject and appreciate the contribution of economics to the understanding of the wider economic and social environment.

What you need to get on

As for all GCE courses you are expected to achieve a minimum of 5 GCSE passes at grade 9-4, with 6s in English and Mathematics being necessary for the subject.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
