Economics is essentially the study of making choices. The basic economic problem is the idea that all resources are limited, yet wants are unlimited. Economics is therefore the study of how individuals and groups make decisions using their limited resources to best satisfy their wants, needs and desires. The course will extend your knowledge into how economic decisions are made and the impact of those decisions.

What you need to get on

6 grades A*-C including 2 grade Bs; 2 or more of English, Maths and Science at A*-C; grade C or above in GCSE English Language and GCSE Mathematics

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
