Economics is an academic discipline that is highly thought of by universities and employers. You will learn about the impact of economic decisions on individuals and countries, both in the UK and internationally. You’ll learn how to analyse data, think critically about situations, and make informed decisions. You will study both Micro Economics, which focuses on the economic activity of individuals and companies, and Macro Economics, which is concerned with the economy as a whole.

What you need to get on

A minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade 4 (grade C), including English, with maths at grade 5 or above. Applications from mature students are also welcomed.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
