A Level Economics is intended to give students an understanding of economic theories and concepts. It enables students to develop a critical consideration of current economic issues, problems and institutions that affect everyday life. The course invites students to apply their economic knowledge in a range of real-world contexts such as the housing market, environmental destruction, and the operation of global financial markets. What you need to get on

All students joining Year 12 will have achieved: • A minimum of 52 points over 8 GCSE subjects; • A minimum of grade 5 in English Language or English Literature and grade 7 in GCSE Mathematics (or grade 7 in Economics if studied at GCSE).

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
