Level 2 Diploma in Engineering Operations (Knowledge) is a one year full time study programme in our Engineering Manufacturing department. This course is ideal for those who already work in, or would like to work in, the engineering and manufacturing sector. This qualification allows learners to develop the knowledge required for employment and/or career progression in the engineering and manufacturing industry sector in general. This qualification has been developed in collaboration with the Engineering and Manufacturing Employer Group which included the following organisations; Roquette UK, William Hare Ltd, JCB, MoveTech, Ministry of Defence, KMF, Severfield (UK) Limited, Royal Armoured Corps, Cooney Marine, Unipres (UK) limited, Quinton Major, Renishaw, Siemens, CSPS.

What you need to get on

4x GCSE Grade 1+ (Inc Eng & Maths) or a L1 Diploma. We will request a school or college report. Progressing Learners from within College; In addition, to demonstrate Positive Engagement & progress in English and Maths, and Good Attendance overall.

How you are assessed

Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.

What this level means

The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
