The course content focusses on the skills required to train and extend your knowledge to give you a sound foundation in the principles of culinary practices. You will learn how to prepare and cook meat, offal, fish sauces and pastry and much more. The Introduction to Culinary skills course allows you to develop and showcase your practical skills in the kitchen whilst demonstrating your customer service and communcation skills in our Training Restaurant HU1 Riverside. On successful completion of your course you can progress to the Level 2 Diploma in Cullinary Skills or Level 2 Certificate in Professional Patisserie and Confectionery for those wanting to specialise as a pastry chef

What you need to get on

4 x GCSEs at grade 2(E) or above, including English

How you are assessed

Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.
