What the college says
AS Computing will require you to develop a knowledge and understanding of computer systems, the principles of computing, including programming and how these are applied to the solution of problems. A Level Computing develops an understanding of systematic methods such as the use of algorithms and data structures, communication and networking, security and integrity of data and the skills associated with documenting solutions.
What you need to get on
Minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade 9*-4 (or equivalent), including Mathematics and English. If taken, ECDL Level 2, GCSE IT Grade 6 or GCSE Computing Grade 5.
How you are assessed
Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
