The Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning (STLIS) Certificate is designed for those new to supporting learning within a school or college. The course will enable you to develop the skills and knowledge required to effectively support children and young people with their learning, by addressing key issues within education, including safeguarding, assessment for learning and understanding schools as organisations. Upon successful completion of this course, the qualification you will achieve is the NCFE CACHE Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning.

What you need to get on

There are no formal entry qualifications for the Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning (STLIS) Certificate. You will need however, a placement within a setting for the duration of the course. If you do not hold English and Maths at GCSE grade 4 (Old GCSE grade C) or an equivalent you are encouraged to undertake these qualification.

How you are assessed

Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.

What this level means

The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
