What the college says
This qualification will enable learners to develop the knowledge and skills needed when supporting teaching and learning in schools. It covers a wide range of areas including children and young people's development, supporting those with disabilities or special educational needs and communicaiton and professional relationships. It is aimed at learners working in roles that support pupils' learning in primary, secondary or special schools. This course is for those who are currently unemployed and actively seeking support work in schools. It can also be accessed on a full cost recovery basis.

How you are assessed
Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
