If you are imaginative, hardworking, have a real interest in developing your 3D making skills and your creativity at the same time, A-Level Ceramics is the course for you! The course is structured so that in addition to learning new skills, you continue to develop the skills you have already learnt in your GCSE Art course. You will work with new construction techniques, research a range of traditional and contemporary artists and experiment with different methods of glaze application. We make numerous visits to local and national galleries.

What you need to get on

An Average GCSE Point Score of 3.5 is required. Grade 5 in Art, Ceramics or Textiles is required.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.

The A-level-equivalent step, and what universities and employers ask for.
