Students will work on art investigations in lessons based on themes initially selected by theteaching staff, beginning in a structured way but leading to personal interpretations anddirections. Weekly homework will be set.Students are encouraged to explore and investigate widely in the initial stages of the work,investigating a wide range of media, techniques, ideas and processes. Individual tutorials,workshops and self-assessment support the development of the work and as targets are setstudents should ensure that they are met by the date indicated.
What you need to get on
Minimum entry requirements are GCSE grades 6, 6, 5, 5, 5, and a 4 in English Language or Literature. Also, grade 6 or above in GCSE Art.
How you are assessed
Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
