The course offers students the opportunity to gain a national qualification in Art. If you enjoy Art and have a keen interest in and enthusiasm for the visual arts or are considering an Art related career, this course will allow you to experiment with a range of media, developing your own creative potential. You will investigate Art forms and Artists, Craftspeople and Designers from all over the world, alongside exploring different cultures and traditions. The contextual references you study will be traditional and contemporary. High standards of observational exploration and experimentation using 2D and 3D processes and a wide range of media will be covered. Drawing, painting, ceramics, printing and basic textile techniques are the basis for creating exciting work on this Art course.
