What the college says

The Art and Design exam board AQA, have made significant improvements to the new Art and Design (Fine Art) A level, which will be studied over 2 years. Greater emphasis has been placed on the experimental coursework element - 60% of your total mark, with a 40% weighting for your final examination piece at the end of the 2 year course. The new course is now divided into 3 separate units.

What you need to get on

GSCE 6 grade 5 (or C) in any any subjects including Maths and English Language, with min. 5 at grades 6 (or B). 7 to do Maths, Chemistry, Physics. 6 to do Biology or 76 in Combined. Grade 8 in Maths to do Further Math.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
