Students are expected to work in a range of mediums including photography/3D the main emphasis is on drawing and painting. Students will compile a Portfolio and complete 1 externally assessed unit over the course of 2 years. These Units are sustained projects which give credit for recording responses, developing ideas, using materials, bringing work to conclusion and of course all underpinned by evidence of technical skill.

What you need to get on

Students will need to have studied an art or design-based course at GCSE and achieved a grade 5 or above. If students have not had access to an art/design course, a portfolio of work can be presented to ascertain the standard of work.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
