What the college says

The aims of the course are to enable you to develop skills and techniques acquired at GCSE level. We encourage independent and personal research and help develop your own ideas based around different themes. During your A Level course you will find out about a whole range of different media, techniques and processes. From charcoal to computers, you just cannot have enough ideas when it comes to expressing yourself. The course is big on hands-on experience too. It is the work you produce that counts.

What you need to get on

6th Form entry: The overall 6th Form entry requirements are: a minimum of 5 GCSEs at grades 9-4, including a grade 9-4 in English. Subject specific entry: GCSE Grade 4 in Art.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
