Art and Design - Fine Art (A)
at South Nottinghamshire Academy, Nottingham · school or sixth form
What the college says
Emphasis is placed on skill building, exploring techniques and processes leading to independent study in an area of interest. It can bridge the area between the arts and science subjects, from interactive media and fashion to architecture and industrial design. A-level Art offers pupils the chance to develop and prove their visual literacy. Coupled with a strong package of other subjects, this ability to decipher and exploit images can really make them stand out from the completion in the multi-media workspaces of an increasingly visual world.
