We are a vibrant and successful Art department within the heart of the school. It is a popular subject at Sixth Form level and many of our students go on to study Art and other creative subjects at prestigious universities and Art colleges. Students achieve excellent results because they thrive in an environment that encourages creativity, independent learning and individuality. They are taught by teachers passionate about art, in tutorial style lessons in spacious and recently refurbished and extended art studios. Students have an opportunity to develop their skills in a range of areas according to their interests that could include drawing, painting, photography, printmaking, 3-D or film. Throughout the two year course there will be opportunities for visits to art galleries and exhibitions.Assessment comprises a portfolio/personal investigation and an externally-set assignment, at both AS and A Level.
