Never more than in todays changing and competitive world has the creative process been so vital, the skills learnt in studying A Level Art, Craft & Design will prepare you to meet these challenges head on. This course encourages personal, creative and imaginative approaches to Art & Design and builds upon studentsstrengths established during KS4. Students have the freedom to investigate any theme in order to create exciting and original final pieces. The work produced will be a personal response which will encourage independent and critical thinking. Equally the ability to develop concepts from initial ideas to realisation is a key component to success in this subject. The Art, Craft & Design course enables you to explore a full range of vocational opportunities in the visual arts including experience of the Arts both as live project briefs as well as learning and experiencing from professionals within your chosen field. You will develop and demonstrate your use of the formal elements and creative skills. You will learn to give visual form to your individual thoughts, feelings, observations and ideas about the world that you live in. You will also develop, through your own artwork, ways of trying to extend othersways of seeing the world.
