What the college says
During your first year you will study two units of work, with an exam at the end of year. In the second year you will study a further two units, again with an exam at the end of the summer term. The modular course is split into four modules Year 12: Unit 1: Culture and Identity; Families and Households; Wealth, Poverty and Welfare (Candidates choose one topic from three and answer five questions topics) Unit 2: Education/Health with Research Methods (Candidates choose one topic, Education or Health and answer four questions on the chosen topic and then questioned based around research methods) Year 13: Unit 3: Beliefs in Society; Global Development; Mass Media; Power and Politics (Candidates choose one topic from four and answer two compulsory questions and one question from a choice of two)
What you need to get on
You will need GCSE grade 6 in English.
How you are assessed
Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
