A LEVEL SOCIOLOGY Whilst studying AQA A Level Sociology, students develop an appreciation for the scientific study of society, examining how every human activity is underpinned by wider cultural contexts. Students learn a wide range of sociological concepts, such as functionalism, Marxism, social action theory and feminism, in order to examine patterns of individual and group behaviour and the norms of different societies. They will also examine the various methods used by sociologists to study society and how to critically evaluate them.
What you need to get on
Attainment 8 Score of at least 50+ is required and Grade 5+ in English Literature or English Language and Mathematics GCSE to be considered.
How you are assessed
Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
