In Photography we will teach you to look at the world in a creative way. This will enable you to apply original, analytical and critical thinking to any other course that you do. Throughout the course, you will learn about digital photographic media, techniques and processes. You will develop an awareness of critical analyses of artists’ work helping to develop your own ideas through awareness, practical application and written reflections. You will demonstrate all practical learning, ideas development and critical analysis through the use of sketchbooks.

What you need to get on

To enter South Craven Sixth Form students need to have achieved Grade 9-4 at GCSE (A*-C), or Merits in other level 2 qualifications (e.g. BTEC, OCR Nationals), in at least 5 separate subjects including English Lit/English Language or Maths. This is considered to be the minimum entry requirement. Must include Grade 4 in GCSE Art/Photography OR Merit in BTEC Level 2 Art

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
