In Graphics we will encourage you to realise your true creative potential. You will stimulate your ideas using visual language, and explore the styles and influences of different artists. Working with a variety of materials and techniques will encourage you to become more independent and experimental. Visits outside the classroom will make you aware of work of other artists and designers, which will support your learning and introduce you to professional practice. You will develop a firm basis in the skills, understanding and knowledge that employers across many industries are looking for.

What you need to get on

To enter South Craven Sixth Form students need to have achieved Grade 9-4 at GCSE (A*-C), or Merits in other level 2 qualifications (e.g. BTEC, OCR Nationals), in at least 5 separate subjects including English Lit/English Language or Maths. This is considered to be the minimum entry requirement. Must include Grade 4 in GCSE Art / Photography OR Merit in BTEC Level 2 Art

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
