The course is split into two years. AS level Geography (OCR syllabus H081) and A level Geography (OCR syllabus H841). There are 2 papers taught by two Geography teachers: Paper 1: Landscape and Place:- Unit Physical Systems: Landscape Systems – Coastal landscapes Unit Human interactions: Changing Spaces: Making Places Unit: Investigative geography: Independent Investigation Paper 2: Geographical debates:- Geographical debates: Tectonic hazards To take this subject to A Level, you will study three more units in Year 13. What you need to get on
You don’t have to have studied Geography at GCSE level – although it helps! GCSE English 5 or above.
How you are assessed
Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
