The Advanced Diploma in Accounting will prepare you for finance officer roles by giving you a solid foundation in accounts preparation, cost & revenue and taxation. It is suited for those who have successfully completed AAT L2 Certificate, unqualified accounting staff who are at an intermediate level and want to develop their accounting skills, employers looking to upskill their staff, people looking to change their careers and those who are looking for an A Level alternative.

What you need to get on

You'll ideally need to have completed the Level 2 qualification to start this course. We run an initial assessment for students entering directly at Level 3 to ensure their knowledge is at a high enough standard. You'll also need a good level of English & Maths. This can be via Level 2 qualifications or GCSEs in both subjects at grade 4 (C) or above, or initial diagnostic assessments (Adults). You will also need basic IT skills.

How you are assessed

Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
