Two year course. Art and Design (Textiles) is the applied art dedicated to the design of clothing, and interior and lifestyle accessories. Students explore a variety of surface enhancement techniques, such as embroidery, heat tool techniques, dyeing and printing. Work is presented as a coursework portfolio (sketchbook/notebooks and A1 mounted sheets) which includes one or more final pieces in either 2D or 3D.

What you need to get on

GCSE Grade C in Textiles or C in Art.

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
