What the college says
A level maths consists of 3 papers and they are completed at the end of Y13 with assessments from Edexcel. The assessments are Paper 1 Pure Mathematics 1, Paper 2 Pure Mathematics 2 and Paper 3 Statistics and Mechanics. For the most able students, Further Maths is also offered. This is taught outside of the normal timetable by department staff in conjunction with the Further Maths Centre at Liverpool University.
