What the college says
A-level History aims to build on the skills developed at Key Stage 3 and GCSE. It encourages the ability to organise data, understand different points of view, form opinions, present arguments, and undertake personal research; all valuable skills, both in employment and higher education.
What you need to get on
We expect our students to have obtained at least a Grade 5 at GCSE and be willing to work hard and put in a lot of private study to obtain the best results.
How you are assessed
Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
