What the college says

At A Level: Unit Y100: Topic based essay. Students will undertake a substantial piece of work in which they can develop and practise the skills of the historian for themselves, drawing together the skills they have already acquired and expand them further. The study of interpretations, and an investigation, provides the opportunity to make connections between different aspects of the topic and to appreciate the way changing views of issues and problems have affected the work of historians. Unit Y306: Rebellion and Disorder under the Tudors 1485-1603. This requires students to have a breadth of knowledge and be able to compare and contrast interpretations as well as being able to recognise the key themes of the era.
