If you enjoy finding out about how our world works and how we interact with our environment, then this is the course for you.A Level Geography focuses on contemporary geography, looking at issues facing local and global communities both now and in the future.Importantly, you will learn about physical and human processes operating in a variety of the world's environments.Other topics include glaciation, the earth's life support systems, exploring our oceans, and contemporary issues of sovereignty and ownership.To succeed you will need to be inquisitive, motivated, hardworking, and ready to get out of the classroom to discover what is happening in the field.

What you need to get on

Five GCSEs at grade 4 and above with a minimum average GCSE score of 4.0, including:* English Language grade 5* Maths or Science grade 5

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
