Every artist is unique and Fine Art covers a huge range of art and design practice, both contemporary and historic.Our teachers will develop your ability to appreciate the visual world and give you the confidence to respond in personal and imaginative ways.You will also draw inspiration from the work of other artists as you develop your own unique creative practice. As a result, you will produce dynamic artwork with confidence and independence.Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to explore possibilities within a wide range of art, media and techniques in order to extend your knowledge and skills.
What you need to get on
Five GCSEs at grade 4 and above with a minimum average GCSE score of 4.0, including:*Art and Design or related subject (for example Textiles)*English Language *Maths If you have not had the opportunity to study an art/design subject at GCSE, you may be considered on the basis of practical evidence and your interest in the subject.
How you are assessed
Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
