This is an exciting and creative course that enables students to continue reading a range of texts and also extend their creative writing skills from GCSE. In this course you will read, interpret and analyse a wide range of literary and non-literary texts, both spoken and written, in terms of their literary and linguistic features. You will have the opportunity to engage creatively and independently with a wide range of spoken, written and mulitmodal texts and produce your own in the coursework modules. You will also undertake independent studies to develop your own writing skills as producers and interpreters of texts.

Grade 5 in both GSCE English Language and English Literature

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
