What is it? Fine art encompasses the personal study, investigation and exploration of painting, drawing, printmaking, mixed media, sculpture and installation. Personal research will inform your development and experimentations. Why study this course at Blackpool Sixth? All projects are tailored and personalised, students are encouraged to explore and develop their ideas through guided and independent study. Former students have been shortlisted for and have won, a munber of awards. Specific course entry requirements: If you do not have GCSE Art, it is advisable to have attended taster sessions and open events.

What you need to get on

For our A Level programme, we require at least two GCSEs at (5) (B) grade and three GCSEs at grade 4 (C) or above, including English language and maths. The pass grades need to be in academic GCSEs and relate to your chosen A level courses. Please see our website for specific course requirements.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
