Fine art offers opportunities to use your creativity to express yourself. You will develop your understanding of creative processes, your ability to observe and to think, to solve problems and to communicate in a visual way. It will enable you to work independently and to make your own discoveries by exploring ideas, other artists work and different materials and techniques. Fine art gives you the skills and knowledge to create personal and imaginative work.
What you need to get on
The minimum entry criteria for studying Level 3 subjects at Millom School Sixth Form are: 2 grades at grade 4 or above in GCSE English and maths plus 3 grades at grade 4 or above in other subjects. We recommend that you have the skills and knowledge associated with a GCSE Art and Design course or equivalent. It must be emphasised that this is not a requirement but may prove helpful.

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
