Art offers opportunities to use your creativity to express yourself. You will develop your understanding of creative processes, your ability to observe and to think, to solve problems and to communicate in a visual way. It will enable you to work independently and to make your own discoveries by exploring ideas, other artists’ work, different materials and techniques. Fine Art gives you skills and knowledge to create personal and imaginative work with substance and depth of meaning.

What you need to get on

• 5 GCSEs grades A* - C/9 to 4 including English and Mathematics • Applicants must have studied Art and Design at GCSE with a 6 grade or equivalent at least, but preferably higher

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
