The course provides an opportunity for students to be introduced to a variety of experiences exploring a range of photographic media, techniques and processes. Photography A-level builds on the skills, knowledge and understanding developed through study at GCSE. At the end of the A-level course you will have the skills, knowledge and understanding needed for higher education.

What you need to get on

The minimum entry criteria for studying Level 3 subjects at Millom School Sixth Form are: 2 grades at grade 4 or above in GCSE English and maths plus 3 grades at grade 4 or above in other subjects. We recommend that you have the skills and knowledge associated with a GCSE Art Photography course or equivalent. It must be emphasised that this is not a requirement but may prove helpful.
