SPECIFICATION A Level AQA Art and Design (Fine Art) 7202C/7202X We will be offering the Fine Art A Level course - this means that students will be able to produce work using a wide variety of techniques and materials, such as drawing, painting, mixed media, collage, sculpture, printmaking, textiles and some photography. SPECIAL FEATURES OF THE COURSE- Themed projects open to individual interpretation Annual trip to London and other galleries Fortnightly Life Drawing sessions Largely practical work with some essential written research and analysis Discrete Sixth Form Art working area

What you need to get on

Attainment 8 score of 60 (calculated from the best 8 GCSEs), including Maths & English Language to at least grade 5. Students must attain grade 6 in the subjects they will study. Where subjects haven't been studied at GCSE (e.g. Psychology, Economics etc.) then grade 6s in English and or Maths is expected. Students must attain grade 6 in Maths to study Sciences. Where students take more than one of Chemistry, Physics, Maths & Biology we recommend grade 7s in these subjects.

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
