What the college says

A Level 3D Design is a fascinating and highly practical course in which you will explore a wide range of three-dimensional media, processes and techniques, including the appreciation of form, shape, texture, colour, decoration, surface treatment, scale, proportion, structure, rhythm and movement. On the course you will discover Interior, Product, Environmental and Architectural Design as well as exploring the theories underpinning 3D design, including historical and contemporary approaches and the influence of social and environmental factors.

What you need to get on

3 GCSE passes at a minimum of Grade 4 and 2 at Grade 5, which must include English Language or Literature and Maths at Grade 4.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.

The A-level-equivalent step, and what universities and employers ask for.
