Topics include: creative colouring, colour correction, consultation, creative cutting of women’s hair, create design skills, perm hair to create a variety of looks and hair extensions. All 16-19 year olds on full-time programmes will be required to retake GCSE English and Maths or to undertake Functional Skills, if they have not already attained the equivalent of a GCSE grade C in these subjects, every year of their course, until they complete their studies. All those employed as hairdressers require a wide range of further skills for the progression to management and training of staff. The College has a vibrant hairdressing salon open to the public. This course provides the opportunity to develop your creative skills, further your understanding of fashion and photography..
