This course will introduce you to the fundamental areas of Game Art, you will develop creative skills integral to the game industry. The course is made up of 3 units in Year 1 and a further 3 units in year 2. Learners are given a range of projects that challenge them to explore different areas of game art and design practice including visual communication, illustration, 3D modelling, design software, contextual studies and animation. Career options are Game Artist, 3D Modeller, Concept Artist, Illustrator and Animator. As with most creative disciplines, you will work through the design process ; research, concept, initial design treatment, prototype/storyboard.
What you need to get on
4 GCSEs at Grade C/4 including Maths or English Language or completion of a Level 2 course including GCSE Maths and English Grade C/4.
