This course will introduce you to the basics of digital imaging and media production. The course is designed to develop basic visual exploration, inspire simple creative practice, promote independent study, and develop elementary skills in research, planning and time management. Throughout the world the creative industries are booming. As working practices and technologies evolve, jobs in this sector will be some of the most resilient in the face of increasing automation. The course will provide you with an introduction to a broad range of creative and technical skills in media production and photography. The qualification has been designed to provide you with a sound base of skills, knowledge and understanding which will enhance your self-confidence and impart an understanding of the career demands and opportunities within the exciting and dynamic creative media industries. During the course you will learn digital photographic techniques in addition to video production and editing skills.
What you need to get on
There are no strict formal entry requirements for this course, although we would expect you to have GCSEs in the 1-3 grade range. Informally we would expect enthusiasm, a willingness to get hands-on and an ability to work productively and collaboratively with others.
