From performing on stage, TV or film to dancing or choreography, there are so many career and progression opportunities in this exciting, dynamic and creative industry, all of which we will prepare you for while studying with us. The UAL Level 2 Award and Diploma in Performing and Production Arts is a one year course, equivalent to four GCSEs, and is a foundation for students who wish to pursue a career in performing arts. You will develop skills in acting techniques, performing arts business, dance performance and musical theatre, and will have regular opportunities to demonstrate your learning as part of our performing arts showcases and acting shows throughout the year. In addition, to enhance your learning, you will complete 30 hours work experience or work-related activities throughout the course.

To access this course you are required to: Have four or more GCSESs at Grade 4 or above Attend an interview with a member of the college's admissions team Attend an audition and perform a suitable piece of your own choice

One subject in depth, assessed largely through coursework and projects.

What this level means

The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
