The Level 2 Technical Theatre course offers a diverse range of subjects giving you an insight into the industry enabling you to develop analytical, creative production and technical skills. Areas covered within the course include lighting, sound, costume, and set construction. The Miskin is run by experienced industry professionals who will work with you to produce ground-breaking, exciting theatre, and develop your skills and confidence to support you in your craft. The Miskin will support you in becoming a well-trained, clear-thinking performer ready to take your first steps into the industry. You will also develop the skills that all employers are looking for, including team work, self-confidence, communication skills, self-motivation and the ability to meet targets. The Level 2 course is the first stepping stone to a successful future as a theatre technician. It will help you gain the confidence, skills and the academic levels you need to achieve in order to progress on to the Level 3 course. Our Study Programme includes opportunities for you to further develop your English and Maths skills as required. You may be expected to complete either functional skills or GCSE qualifications as part of your course depending on your GCSE results.
